Paying for a berth
When a marina confirms your request, you pay the marina directly, by the methods it lists: on arrival, by bank transfer, with a payment link, or by card through the marina's own Stripe account. KeelFair never receives, holds or refunds berth payments, and takes no commission on them.
Refunds and cancellations are between you and the marina, under the marina's terms. If anyone asks you to pay "KeelFair" for a berth or a boat, do not pay, and report it to us.
Requests and holds
A booking request is not yet a booking. Your nights are held while the marina replies, and the hold time is shown on your request. If the marina does not reply in time, the hold expires, the nights are released, and we email you.
Buying a boat
Boats are sold by the listing brokerage or seller, not by KeelFair. Arrange viewings, surveys and payment directly with them, and never send a deposit before you have checked who you are dealing with.
Verified reviews
Only guests with a confirmed stay receive a single-use review link, so every marina review is marked "Verified stay". Marinas cannot edit or delete reviews, but they can post one public reply. Anyone can report a review. We hide reviews only when they break our rules, never because they are negative.
Your documents
Your insurance certificate and registration are stored privately. Only you and the team of the marina you sent them to can open them. They are deleted automatically 90 days after your stay ends, or after the request is declined, cancelled or expires.
Reporting a problem
Use "Report" on a review, or contact us about a suspicious listing, berth, message or payment request. Tell us the page and what happened, and we will look into it.
